Today students and teachers from our Action Civics classes hosted five candidates running for School Committee. Students created and asked the candidates questions related to the purpose of School Committee, campaign strategy, why they are interested in the position and their hopes, desires and ideas for improving our schools. This was an engaging and meaningful experience for all!

PSAT Day is tomorrow, October 20. All sophomores and juniors who signed-up will take this exam. Students will begin the day in X Block before proceeding to their test locations. The test will begin promptly at 7:35. Students who arrive late may not be admitted to the test room. This is the only day we are administering the PSAT. There will not be a make up day for this test. Please remember to bring your fully charged Chromebook to school. You may also bring with you a calculator to use on the math portion of the test. There is a calculator embedded into the test platform so do not worry if you do not have your own. Test takers can refer to last week's family update for more information.

At AHS, relevant learning often means kids are taking what they've learned and applying it to their lives. Today, these students were learning about macronutrients and using their knowledge to reflect on their own diets.
