AHS Band Website
Our Philosophy
AHS bands and choirs will be active organizations that require dedication, proper attitudes, self-discipline and musical growth in order to achieve the highest standards of a successful program. Each student is expected to fulfill the necessary requirements to the best of his/her abilities. Anything less than full potential is denying yourself, your peers, and the entire group of complete success.
Students in the Attleboro Schools Music Department celebrate and preserve their cultural heritages. They explore the realms of their imagination which results in new knowledge. Each individual should be guaranteed the opportunity to learn music and to share their musical talent with others. Our goal is to help our students reach their full potential; both musically and with life skills. We encourage friendships, self-reliance and of course fun!
Through music, students will:
1 - experience intellectual growth.
2 - enhance self esteem through positive experiences
3 - develop cultural literacy and awareness.
4 - develop skill of active and responsible participation in the community around them.
5 - experience and understand how music relates to other disciplines.
