Ms. Chris G’s class re-enacted “The Mitten” by Jan Brett today! Each child got to be an animal that was in the mitten while others were the sneezers! This book goes along the winter theme happening inside the classrooms and is one of our favorite books!

Don't forget, tomorrow is Thacher's Luau Lunch!

Ms. Chris G’s class learned about gelt yesterday while sporting Ugly Sweaters for Spirit Day.

APS will be testing our alert system for families on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:00 AM. The alert will be sent as a text message to the mobile number that is on file in Aspen. Schools will reach out immediately following the test message for families who do not receive it.

Ms Kathy’s class is looking a science through a microscope. Ezekiel and Royal worked together to check out some bugs! They loved that they were real!

Tomorrow is the last day for students to bring in items for our Food Drive. It's a great opportunity to get rid of any unused nonperishable food items from Thanskgiving while helping local families in need.
Thnak you to everyone who has already sent in donations!

FUNdraiser at Piezoni's tomorrow night! Mention Thacher and have 30% of your order purchase given back to the school!

Congratulations to Adizely from Mrs. Medeiros’s first grade class and Nyah from Ms. Andrade’s second grade class for their winning costume ideas for Mr. Rich and Mrs. Desautel! Adizely thought Mr. Rich should be pizza because it’s yummy and Nyah thought Mrs. Desautel should be a cowgirl because she has cool cowgirl shoes.

Don't forget Capron Park's Zoo Boo Spooktacular is tomorrow night (10.28) from 6:00PM - 9:00PM! It is sure to be a fun night of candy, games, prizes, performances and more! In person ticket sales will be available in the zoo's gift shop tomorrow until 4:00 PM. Tickets will also be available at the door starting at 6:00PM.

Hi Families! I sent an email about the Room section of the APS app! If you have not received an email please reach out and we will get you the magic code for your student.

Tracing letters in shaving cream today in Miss Lauren's class! Sensory play helps to build nerve connections in the brain's pathways. Using sensory play within the classroom provides opportunities for children to support cognitive growth, language development, gross motor skills, social interaction, and problem solving skills.

Monday morning's make something in Miss Renee's room was a mystery painting! Learning shapes can be fun!

Even yesterday's power outtage couldn't stop us from learning! Everyone rolled with the punches and made the best of the situation.
