As you may be aware, a disturbing nationwide trend has made its way to Massachusetts.
While the Attleboro Public Schools community has not received any reports of these messages yet, they have been reported in several states, including Alabama, California, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
In these states, students of color have received texts that have some variation of a message that they have been “selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation.”
This is an abhorrent trend that does not reflect our values as a school community or a people. Racism in any form has no place in our schools, our community, or our society, and we will stand firm in our efforts to eradicate it.
Massachusetts State Police have been notified of the instances that occurred in Massachusetts, and police in other communities are working with the Commonwealth Fusion Center to investigate the matter and share resources. Please contact your local police should you have received a message as described above.
Thank you for your continued support.
Due to an ongoing lack of rainfall and critically low water supply levels, Attleboro needs your help to conserve water resources.

We had a fun week with all of the spirit days this week! Just a reminder that the ELC has no school next Tuesday 11/5 and Thursday 11/7! We will see everyone on Monday, Wednesday and Friday!

Short week this week! Just a reminder that it is getting colder out. Please layer your students as they go outside for recess at various times during their sessions. Label all hats and mittens as there often are other students who have the same items. See you all for a full week next week!

We're thrilled to welcome back, former New England Patriot and author Malcom Mitchell, who will be reading his book to TES second graders tomorrow. Let's welcome him back with a Patriots/Red, White and Blue Spirit Day!

It was so great to see everyone last who came to Welcome Back Night! It is always a great time to meet other families and see who the kids are interacting with during the day. Hopefully you all got to see the Northern Lights as well either coming or leaving last night! Here is this week's ELC Panda Press. Have a great long weekend everyone!
